Roundtrip transportation is available to participants living in the surrounding area for a suggested donation of $4.00 each way.
The College Avenue Center offers a farmers’ market-style “Fresh Market” for older adults every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 12:30–1:30pm. In collaboration with the Hand Up Food Pantry and Feeding America San Diego, participants the chance to fill a bag with healthy, seasonal produce of their choice.

Our College Avenue Center will host festive holiday meal at 12:00pm, followed by a Model Seder at 12:30pm. The Model Seder will be officiated by Temple Emanu-El’s spiritual leader, Rabbi Devorah Marcus. No reservations necessary. The Orientation is on May 14 and the class will be held weekly through July 9. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a systematic, participant-centered educational program which uses training in mindfulness meditation as the core of a program to guide people in the process of developing the skills of better self-care. Through this MBSR course, you will cultivate skills to increase your capacity to:
Dr. Ron Lech is a cardiologist (retired) with an interest in stress management. He is a qualified MBSR instructor and certified yoga instructor. He has trained at the Centers for Mindfulness at both the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and UCSD.
