SAN DIEGO (June 15, 2018) – On Tuesday, June 5, Jewish Family Service hosted its Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon, marking the start of a new fiscal year at JFS.
Together, we welcomed new Board members Jan Adler, Aaron Cohn, Theresa Dupuis, Susanna Flaster, and Tal Moore and reflected on the impactful leadership of outgoing Board members Loretta Adams, Avi Frohlichman, Meg Goldstein, Nadja Kauder, Gregg Kornfeld, and Philip Linssen. We also celebrated the contributions of some tremendous supporters and volunteers – including the women of Welcome Home, who received a Chair’s Award for their inspiring efforts to raise awareness and resources for our Refugee Resettlement program.
Nine volunteers – Abe Rosenbaum, Tate Phillips, William Friedel, Maury Liwerant, Alma Carmago, Allison Roberts, Lori Stone, Cheryl Hamer & Amanda Barkley-Levenson – received the Jack & Loraine Stern Volunteer Recognition Award. Nadja Kauder received the Charles Zibbell Board Leadership Award for her years of dedication to JFS.
Finally, County HHSA Director Nick Macchione shared his insights on the ways that we can partner to strengthen our collective impact.
Thank you to these amazing members of the JFS family! Together, we are building a stronger, healthier, more resilient San Diego for all of us.
