Sharing a commitment to Welcome the Stranger, The Shapiro Foundation and HIAS collaborate with JFS to assist the most vulnerable migrants from around the world. HIAS, our longtime immigration and resettlement partner, works to support refugees and advocate for the rights of displaced people. The Shapiro Foundation has been integral to streamlining the travel process enabling asylum seekers to directly reconnect with their families throughout the U.S.
The strategic partnership between all three organizations provides Safe Mobility Offices (SMO) – a new, innovative legal pathway for asylum seekers.
